The Quiet Power of Real Connection

At a recent trade show, I took a group on a shamanic journey. I drummed gently to guide them into the lower world—a sacred, grounding space in shamanic practice. For many, this was their first foray into this kind of soul work. The journey went well. The room held a beautiful energy: safe, grounded, connected. People could feel the collective heartbeat of the group while still entering their own deeply personal connection with the otherworld.

Afterwards, one woman approached me, visibly moved. Tears shimmered in her eyes, not from sadness, but from something far older—release, perhaps, or recognition. At first, she couldn’t articulate what had happened during her journey. But soon, she began to open up about her relationship with her daughter. There had been pain and confusion, a deep desire to help, to fix, to rescue. She’d come into the session wondering how she could help her daughter. But what came through in the journey was something far more powerful: she had to heal herself.

We talked about soul contracts—the unspoken energetic agreements we carry with the people in our lives. These contracts have two sides: yours and theirs. You are only ever responsible for your own. Sometimes, healing your side means letting go. Sometimes it means accepting what is. Either way, the only path forward is inward.

Then she said something I hear often, and it always lands the same way:
“I was drawn to you. I need to work with you.”
She had never heard of me before that day. She hadn’t followed me on social media or seen an ad online. She simply showed up, listened, and felt something stir in her soul. That is connection. And for me, that is what real “marketing” looks like.

I Don’t Steal Your Focus

I’ve never resonated with traditional marketing. I don’t buy Facebook ads. I don’t use algorithms to track you across the internet. I don’t post five times a day to chase your attention.

Because here’s the thing: your focus is sacred.
And in today’s world, it’s being bought and sold to the highest bidder.

The algorithms don’t care about your wellbeing. Their only goal is to keep you scrolling, reacting, buying, comparing, numbing. As Tristan Harris of the Center for Humane Technology says, “If you’re not paying for the product, you are the product.” Your time, attention, and behaviour are being harvested—and it’s costing us dearly. Our ability to focus. Our sense of peace. Our connection to nature, spirit, and self.

In his book Stolen Focus, Johann Hari explores how the modern world is systematically destroying our attention spans, making it harder to think deeply, connect meaningfully, or even just rest. The implications for our mental, emotional, and spiritual health are staggering. We’ve been trained to chase the next dopamine hit, not sit with our thoughts. We scroll instead of soul-search. We respond instead of reflect.

This is not how transformation happens.

A Different Way of Doing Things

That’s why I don’t advertise.
If you’re reading this, it’s because you chose to be here.
Maybe you signed up for my email list.
Maybe you joined my app, where you can access meditations, updates, and insights—without pop-ups, distractions or ads.
Maybe we met in person, and something resonated.

Every space I create—whether it’s an email, an app experience, a cacao ritual, or a shamanic journey—is intentional. You’re never a “lead” or “target market” to me. You’re a human being, walking your own path, and if our paths cross, it’s because they were meant to.

Subscribing to a small, independent space like Wild Soul Grove is not the same as surrendering your focus to a social media platform. In fact, it’s a radical act of taking your attention back. You get to choose what nourishes you.

Rewilding Your Soul

This philosophy is at the very heart of my program, Rewilding Your Soul.

The modern world has tamed us into obedience—rush, produce, consume, compare, repeat. But your soul didn’t come here to live in that cage. It came here to remember. To reconnect with its wildness, its wisdom, its depth.

Rewilding Your Soul is a 4- or 8-week immersive journey that helps you unplug from the noise and reconnect with your true nature. It includes:

  • Guided meditations that take you into deep soul states

  • Weekly practices to help you detox from digital distraction and modern overwhelm

  • Journaling prompts and nature-based rituals to help you come home to yourself

  • Coaching and shamanic healing (in the 8-week version) to address deeper identity wounds and energetic patterns

You won’t find any hype here. No viral videos. No shiny funnels.
Just grounded, soul-deep work designed to help you remember who you are—beneath the noise, beneath the roles, beneath the programming.

So if you're feeling scattered, lost, or overwhelmed... if you're craving something real and rooted... if you’ve quietly whispered to yourself, "I need something different..." — then maybe you're ready to Rewild.

And maybe, just maybe, you were drawn here for a reason.
