Overview
This rune spread can be picked or cast. It consists of 5 runes and follows the compass directions with the corresponding elements.
Usage
I use this spread when I feel like my connection with the elements is important to either my current energy, or the outcome of the reading. This is a chance to look to the elements for guidance on your life.
To Read or Cast?
This can be done either by casting or reading. In either case, decide if you wish to acknowledge reversed runes. If reading, pull one at a time for each space in the order that feels right. If casting, collect all 5 in your hands and drop. You then have two options, honour them as they land and intuitively read the ones that do not land on a direction, or adjust your perspective for all 5 so they match the shape.
The Spread
- Earth (North) - What is keeping you grounded, or keeping you stuck?
- Air (East) - What beliefs are shaping the situation?
- Fire (South) - What is the power of the situation, or what is creating the anger?
- Water (West) - What emotionally is in this? What can we let go of?
- Spirit (Centre) - What is the soul's perspective or lesson?
The runes can give us both light and dark. They can be there to lift us, or warn us. You will know which way to read each rune if you listen to your intuition.
